Hey friends I have a problem.

I connect fine, but the rest of the users can't. I know I have it set up to share. I tried to set up a new user but it did not connect too, it was working before. I have 2 teens that play lot with the comp but this is the first time I can't fix it.

Running XP home.

Tried it with Guest acc, failed too.

What are the system specs? What computer?

I tried to set up a new user but it did not connect too,

How did you do so? What were the specs of the computer?

it was working before.

The connection or the sharing of files?

Tried it with Guest acc, failed too.

On what computer? How many computers are there?, etc.

Sorry It was all clear in my head.

Theres only one PC, and theres 4 users on it, I'm running XP home on an old system p4 2gig,512 ram on board sound and video. I Can go online and surf,e-mail. All 3 other users of the same pc can't,.It just says page not available. I created a new user to test if it was that, thought control panel users applet. I tried using the guest accont on the same pc, that failed to.

hope this helps

Did you completely log off of your user (that works) and log into the others, or just Switch User? Have you tried loading the non-working users first?

From any one of the users that can't connect, do the following:
  • Click on Start then Run, type cmd and press Enter
[8]Type ping www.mozilla.org and press Enter
Response should look similar to this:
Pinging www-mozilla-org.glb.mozilla.com [63.245.209.11] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 63.245.209.11: bytes=32 time=95ms TTL=237
Reply from 63.245.209.11: bytes=32 time=86ms TTL=237
Reply from 63.245.209.11: bytes=32 time=87ms TTL=237
Reply from 63.245.209.11: bytes=32 time=87ms TTL=237

Ping statistics for 63.245.209.11:
	Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
	Minimum = 86ms, Maximum = 95ms, Average = 88ms
If that works then the problem is with Internet Explorer. Again, pick one failing user, start IE, click on Tools then Manage Add-ons. Disable all add-ons and see if that allows the user to connect. If so, re-enable the add-ons one or two at a time till you find the culprit.
