I have a thermaltake muse HDD enclosure and am trying to read some of the drives from my fried desktop. When I put the drives in the enclosure and attach to my laptop I get a message telling me the drive needs to be formatted before it can be used . I know for a fact that the drives are already formatted. If it makes any difference the jumper is set to cable select. This is really starting to frustrate me

your partition table may be corrupt.... kind of sounds like you may need to get data recovery software to get anything back... personally I have used getdataback and have had some success... you can download and install/run it to see what it can see and possible recover before you have to buy it...

good luck
