Windows XP Disk Wont Boot Up

Ok so i want to completely whipe my computer and start a-new.

but the problem is..

well lets start from the beginning


i open up my disk drive, insert the disk, reset computer and normally a thing would come up where when i press any button it will let me format the disk etc..

but that doesnt happen, it just takes me to my login screen.

someone help me.

set your bios to boot from the cd drive first..

usually on the first screen it will say press delete or F1 or F2 or whatever to get to setup...once you get into the bios look for the boot order...set the cd drive as the first boot device then the hard drive second...save the changes and exit ...usually F10 but you will have to read the screen to see its right for yours...

1. Turn on computer by Holding down power button while pressing the ESC key.
The machine will beep, then display:
Check System, then press [F1] key.
