Hey folks.

I'm looking to get a new drive for back-up purposes. I am thinking external because it gives me some extra transfer options. In addition, it does not appear that building my own external drive (internal + enclosure) would be any cheaper than just buying an external right off the bat.

Anyway, to SeaGate FreeAgent has caught my eye. But it seems people are having trouble with that lately.

Again, I am looking for a drive purely for backup and transfer. I have an eSATA connection but it doesn't look like there are many options for that. I really would rather not spend much more than $100 if I can help it.

Any thoughts about this drive?

Any recommendations?
Thanks for your help!
