i try to open any of my programs and i get this:

Windows cannot access the specified device,path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

You click on the link, then scroll Down to #12 on the left hand side. It's called EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP. You click on that to download it to your hard drive. Save it where you can find it. Directions on what to do with the file are at the top of the page.

You right click the link to #12 and select "save link as..". Double click the script to add it to the registry once you have saved it.

hello
try following steps
just go to tools --> folder options.
then go to tab file types in folder options
Then click on new button
a box will appear which will ask to u create new extension
type there EXE
and click ok

plz try to go to command prompt
and then go to c:
and type there dir/ah
now u can see all hidden files in c:
plz if possible post screenshot or list of files you can see

plz try to reboot the computer in safe mode and see wether u can access command prompt there

there mite be any virus or malware coz you cant even access command prompt . can you post HJT Log in malware forum so that our experts can guide you further
