So I built my very first server, it is running windows server 2003 enterprise (acquired from my comp sci prof.) I currently have websites hosted on other servers (godaddy) and I'm wondering what I need to do to host a website on this server. the server is located on my home network as a node on the same level as the rest of my computers. if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great

woops wrong board just delete :)

Bit of an old post, but I'll reply anyway.

You need to install IIS on it as that's the Windows Server web service.

Then point your external DNS to your Firewall IP. The Firewall then needs to address translate the traffic to your Windows 2003 box.

Hope that helps.
