I have something that is blocking me from downloading some files, I freeze up, go right back to the same page. I ran the Adaware scan as directed and came up with 0 infections. Please help as this is getting frustrating. Thanks.

I've seen this fixed once before by Winchester73 over in the SpywareBeware forum: This is what he said to do:

"Download Pocket KillBox: http://www.downloads...org/KillBox.exe

Put it somewhere easy to find (like your desktop). Double click the KillBox program to launch it ...

Go to Tools > Delete Temp Files > Click "OK"

Now select "Replace on Reboot" and "Use Dummy" in the first column.

Next copy/paste the following into the "Full Path to Delete" box:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\req.dat

Click the Red Button with the White x on it.

Click the "Delete File" button, and let your computer reboot.



Next, close all open windows, and run HJT once again. Fix these items:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1C044AAD-7955-4cbd-8175-501A165C4E5D} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\req.dat

O20 - Winlogon Notify: req - C:\WINDOWS\system32\req.dat"

It worked for him anyway. Killbox will fit on a floppy so you can get it using a friend's computer. Only difference is that you have :

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1C044AAD-7955-4cbd-8175-501A165C4E5D} -
O20 - Winlogon Notify: req - C:\WINDOWS\

If that doesn't work I have a second procedure we can try but you will probably need a friend with a CD burner.
