i need to install windows 98 on a hard drive. i get past everything and then it brings up a message about a virus and and if i press y it goes on but no os shows up . can someone please help me. i only have my restore cd that came with my origional P.C.

are you installing a new hard drive because the old one died?

what brought you to this point?(new drive, other new devices, malware, ...)

I can help with the win98 install.

please answer the questions above, then read the excellent installation guide found on this site. please identify the screen shot previous to where you see the virus error. if the virus message does not occur during the installation, please describe what you are doing when it occurs.

DO NOT strart the installation until we evaluate the answers to the questions.
