hi i am having problems with deleting a folder, for some reason when i make a desktop shortcut of specific folder i lose the contents of the folder and i cant open the folder as it keeps telling me access denied or another person is using the file. I have even reseted and tried to delete it straight away and it still wont let me. I am using 2 hdd's, could it be the indexing is affecting the folder and file when i move it??But if i leave the folder in its original place it works fine only happens when i try to move it to another folder or creating a shortcut!!

Any help would be appreciated!!

I would try to take ownership of the file. Here is a MS article explaining how to do it: http://support.micro...p;Product=winxp
