If I click the run or search button in the start menu they won't open, and I have tried rebooting. Any ideas?

EDIT: If I switch the start menu to classic mode rather than the default mode, the run box opens. Also, if I am in the default mode (not the classic one) and I push the windows button and "R" the run box opens. I have also tried disabling the run box in the start menu by removing it and adding it again but it still doesn't open when you click it in the start menu (unless it's in the classic mode like I said before).
