Looks very nice but I would make two changes. First change to either the 32bit version of Vista or get the retail box that includes both. 64bit operating systems are still having a bit of trouble with drivers. It could make things very frustrating.

You have selected a water cooling add-on for your RAM but have selected no water cooling system. Dump it because it is useless w/o watercooling.

Looks good :).

Also Novatech isn't the cheapest online vendor either.

Ebuyer, for example, don't have the exact same hard drive but its 75p cheaper with more cache on it. All other things being equal, a 32Mb cache will be better than an 8Mb cache. Look up part number ST3500320AS on eBuyer.com

Also on Ebuyer, you can get free postage if you spend enough. You don't on Novatech.

I am referring to the watercooling RAM heatsink you selected. Also, the RAM you have selected already has heat spreaders.

ah ye ofc, ty! The only thing with a 32bit operating system is that i will not be able to use the full 4GB, plus i will not be using any bits of hardware to plug onto this desktop, i use the other computer for that, literally all i will be using this for is gaming, so it dont really matter about the drivers. i think anyways lol!

Alright, just remember that you were warned about 64bit compatibility problems.

I couldn't tell you. I would look at e-tailer reviews for people complaining that their hardware doesn't work correctly with a 64bit OS.

This is a good one to check reviews at: Newegg

Hi there,

All those parts should work fine with 64-bit Vista. Just remember to grab the hard drive Neil mentioned, it's a better deal :)

Cheers

It depends on the games and the settings. For the most part, yes. If you get into games such as Crysis, COD4, or Oblivion the settings will need to be turned down to achieve those resolutions. There isn't any other card on the market I would recommend. The 8800GTS 512mb is the best card you can get without paying nearly double for a 10% performance increase (which would still have the same issues with the 8800GTS 512mb).

In short, stick with the card you have selected.
