BAD NEWS :)

You have a file infector virus called Virut.
It has nearly infected every single file on your computer.
The only way out of this one is to reformat.

I am sorry.
Also I would not back anything up as you will run the risk of re-infecting your new install if you did so.
There is a tutorial if you should need it on how to re-install Windows Here good luck and if you have any questions please ask.

Well I didnt know I had Virut on my computer but come to think of it, for the past couple of years Ive been getting messeges from my aintivirus about the virus Virut.
Apart from that Virus is my computer clean?
Has trojandownloader.xs been deleted from my computer? Because I still cannot open Task Messenger and this only started after trojandownloader.xs infected my computer. I do not want to reformat at the moment, ill do it when summer comes along because Ive had Virut on my computer for a while and it doesnt seem to really be effecting my computer. Apart from that I just want to know about trojandownloader.xs and task messenger problem, because this started after trojandownloader

You will not be able to continue using your computer for very much longer.
Almost all of the compnenets of Windows are infected.
Everything will eventually crash.
Other than that

Please open up Notepad and copy all of the items in the code box below.
Change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as fixthis.reg on your Desktop.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableTaskMgr"=dword:00000000
Now double-click fixthis.reg.
A window will come up asking if you want to let it merge with the registry.
Click yes.
Reboot for the changes to take place and post a new Hijackthis log and let me know if the task manager is back again.

Again everything is infected so there is nothing I can do for you.
Because the files are overwritten it will be of no use to clean any other infection because it is all infected with virut and everything that runs will be infected.
Being without the task manager is something you will have to live with until the reformat.
========================
Check and fix this entry with Hijacthis:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [runner1] C:\WINDOWS\mrofinu1001186.exe 61A847B5BBF72813329B39577AFF01F0B3E35B6638993F4661AA4EBD86D67C56389B284534F310

then close Hijackthis.

Find and delete this file>C:\WINDOWS\mrofinu1001186.exe
============================
You can try this for the task manager again but it more than likely will be unaffected because of virut.

Please open up Notepad and copy all of the items in the code box below.
Change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as fixthis2.reg on your Desktop.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableTaskMgr"=-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer]
"DisableTaskMgr"=-
Now double-click fixthis2.reg.
A window will come up asking if you want to let it merge with the registry.
Click yes.

Then do the following Cleanup::
  • Make sure you have an Internet Connection.
  • Double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Click on the CleanUp! button
  • A list of tool components used in the Cleanup of malware will be downloaded.
  • If your Firewall or Real Time protection attempts to block OtMoveit2 to reach the Internet, please allow the application to do so.
  • Click Yes to begin the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application.
  • You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Delete uninstall anything else we used.
============
After that we are done.

OK I did a MBAM scan, and that program deleted mrofinu1001186.exe, before you posted your last post. So I couldnt fix mrofinu1001186.exe in my HijackThis log, because it wasnt their anymore and nor was it in the C:\Windows folder.
I did the Task Messenger thing and it didnt fix it but its ok, I know what you mean by what the virus Virut has done, althoug task messenger was working upto monday. I greatly appreciate what you have done for me. THANKYOU!!!
The OTMoveIt2 did its job and deleted the programs.
Thanks Alot.
I have posted a HijackThis log, just incase you find something that still need to be fixed
Apart from that Thanks alot man, and if you find anyway of getting Task Messenger back, Please tell me

Have Hijackthis fix this entry then that is it.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoInclude] C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\DIL5.tmp

Task Manager would have to be replaced for it to work and more than likely it will be infected as soon as it gets into that computer.

You are welcome and if you have no further questions then I will close this thread.

It would be useless at this point to try to fix anything else as it will happen again.
