I just started my own little online image & graphic business called ‘Altered Animal Graphics”.I specialize in custom photomanipulated images of pets and animals.
And Im trying to promote my site but I dont know where to start really.
I want to find some good sites that will post my clickable banner for free if I post their banner. Pet directories would be best.
But Ive found alot of pet directories say they will do it for free but after I take the time to register & all that theres always a loophole or something that will end up costing me $.
Can anyone suggest where I can exchange links for free(really)?
Also what are reciprocal link exchange partners?
And is this really what I want to do to get my site more traffic?

Any advice would be great!
Please & Thank You!

bravenet offers lots of great webtools for webmasters.

One includes a traffic exchange. You can also create your own banner exchange group. Using the bravenet tool you can collect banners from some of your friends and build your own ring. that way you can also have a say over what kind of sites you are exchanging with.

If you dont know alot of people who have websites I would recommend going to forums and blogs and offering to allow people into your banner exchange. I know there are alot of people looking for the free advertisement in exchange for free advertisement too :)

Hope this helps
