All of the sudden I began to get Popups with the name Aurora. I have faithfully completed all steps from Ad-Aware thru Highjackthis. Below is my log from Highjackthis. Please, any help accepted. I am new at working on a computer and need easy, simple terms please.

Sorry for the late reply.
If you’re still looking to resolve this issue, please run through the steps outlined in this Topic.
Post back in this topic (using the button ‘add reply’) with a fresh log when done.

Also do this please:
Open HijackThis
Go to ‘config’
Go to ‘misc tools’
Press the button ‘open uninstall manager’
Press the button 'save list'. It will open a Notepad file. Place the content of that file here in your answer please.

If you have resolved this issue please let us know.

You have Spybot S&D's Resident running which is good, but we need you to disable it for the remainder of the fix as it will interfere with the registry changes being made.
Open Spybot S&D in advanced mode, click Tools > Resident, and remove the check from "Resident Tea-Timer". Reboot after unchecking the entry.

Please run Notepad and copy the following text into a new file:

sc config SvcProc start= disabled
sc stop SvcProc
sc delete SvcProc
attrib -s -r -h svcproc.exe
del svcproc.exe
exit

Save the file to the desktop as remove.bat and make sure the "Save as type" field says "All files".

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on remove.bat. A window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Open HijackThis
Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

Restart your computer

Download this scanner:
ewido.
Install it and doubleclick the icon on your desktop.
Let it update.
Then, let it do a full run, and copy the log. Past it to a blank Notepad file and save it to post here.
Than let it rerun. Save that log too.

Post back here with a fresh log using HijackThis and both scan results.

Resident Teatimer was not checked in Spybot.
SD helper was the only check box. I left it alone.

Please put a check to SD helper in Spybot and reboot to save mode.

Rerun the previous advise, follow the advise by the letter.

Then post back here with a new log using HijackThis and the scan result using Ewido.

Kanga, I'm happy you are happy.

But in the Ewido file I see you choose 'ignore' at each popup instead op 'remove'. That means the infections is still there.
If you like you can rerun Ewido to remove the file. And if you're willing, I'd be glad to check another HijackThis log.
