Matshita UJ870QJ DVD driver needed

Just purchased an Acer Aspire 5720Z for daughter. It came with Vista Premium OS.
She wants capability of XP for a music program that doesn't work on Vista Premium. (digidesign pro tools). It will work on XP. I am planning on adding XP along with Vista in a Multi-boot or Dual-boot configuration
From what I have researched so far, the Acer has a DVD-RAM Matshita UJ870QJ DVD. Am unable to find the driver that will work on the XP OS. Any ideas?
I have e-mailed panasonic for the driver but no reply so far.
It appears that several have this problem from a google search and reading other forums.
Any help wold be much appreciated.
