This has been bugging me for a while. Whenever I'm working on a db in Access 2000 or 2003, if I try to edit the vb code and then run it from the editor window to test, I get a "run Macro" window popping up. Since the code I'm working on isn't a macro per se, I can't select it to run. In Word, I can do this and so test the code for errors or debug by stepping through, but Access isn't doing it.

Any ideas, suggestions?

That's what I'm doing, but instead of running, it brings up the choose macro box.

Attached are screenshots taken as I went through the steps. I know it should work, but this happens every time in Access. In word, when I'm working on forms using VB it isn't a problem.

I've tried from all kinds of postions within the subroutine. (Starting from error when debugging, editing routine and trying to run etc.) Always does the same @*#^ thing.

i dont have access to access 2000 or 2003 at this moment...
but i had a brainwave

have a macro that opens the main form of your project
or of any form when you run that macro

so create a new module called run_opencomplaint()

so code would be like

sub run_opencomplaint()

Form_Switchboard.Show

End Sub

Try this it may work

so everytime you wanna run this form u would have to run the corresponding macro(Module)

i dont have access bc im at school now
but ill try this out and try other stuff later
