When loading my computer windows wouldnt load and said the above file was curupt. I loaded windows via CD and went to recovery and put in the above, I then got acess denied message. Does any one know if this is normal? Would aprricate any help with getting this file readded. Would a complete reinstall do it, am worried about loosing any saved data from my hard disk.

hal DLL errors are very common. You may be able to fix it this way.
