<_< please i have a IBM 300GL desk top pc and have been advised by shop to uninstall windows and wipe puter clean and reload from scratch i am very new to computers so could anyone tell me how to go about this safely please , also as only 128ram can i increase this to 256 would i just buy a nother 128 or do i get a 256 board would be gratefull for any help on this thanks jim-m

hi again thanks for your message the puter shop says as my sons have been downloading lots of free music they have clogged up the puter with hidden files in them they managed to get some out out shop but loads left all over puter hidden away so advised me to delete windows and reinstall which im happy to do as puter is running very slow and slugish takes about 10mins to boot up and hope to join broadband in a couple of weeks with aol and need to get puter sorted for then shop also said that 128ram wasent enough for my needs i have done a belarc adviser scan as u suggested and printed it off but dont understand it jim-m

You have two open slots, so you can just purchase another 128 MB stick of memory and add it to your system. <_<
