Hey all, i'm just kind of curious about running dual video cards.

I run an abit IP35-PRO motherboard, and it has 2 PCIex16 slots, but one is x4 electronically. I was under the impression that Video cards needed to be ran in an x16 slot, but upon reading the motherboard manual, I found that it had a section on install video cards. Install two video cards in fact.

So, I can run two Video cards of the same GPU family? But one is going to be slower or something? Will this just mean that the slave card will lend it's memory or something, so I can run two 8800GT (I have one), one does all the actual work, but they have 1gb of memory together?

Thanks in advance for the explanation,
Seltox
