well that's easy :) here's how right-click My computer > properties > advanced > performance > settings > advanced and press the CHANCE button at virtual memory . Select custom size and write 2048 in the Initial and maximum fields ...

That's sets your virtual memory to about 2 Gigabytes ... which is more than enough

I have 384 Mb ram and I set the virtual memory to 2048 Mb ... Never saw that Low on virtual crap anymore :) :)

Marc, why not select System managed size and forget about it? XP will manage it and set the size as needed.
