YES ive went to the AMI site. Please do not ask me why i want the upgrade or give me warnings about upgrading my bios as I am a computer tech and know what to do. thank you kindly!

The preferred source for BIOS is the machine maker, the second best source if the maker of the motherboard, I don't recommend stock or "generic" BIOS updates, the BIOS is often particularized for a system.

According to Gigabyte the last BIOS released for that board was November 15th 2002 and version F2.
Your version F3 would suggest it was a customised BIOS originally as its not a proper Gigabyte release.

that may be possible as this board was used previously as a server. Well I guess I have the latest known update! Thanks for the help. Someone can close this thread if they want.
