i have an e machine that i got from my dad when he died. my husband put vesta on my computer and i want to take it off, how can i do it without the e machine disk?

Unless your husband did a parallel install of Vista which left XP on your hard drive, your best bet would be to contact eMachines and order a recovery CD. You can call them or order one onlne, see here: http://emachines.com/support/

Several advantages to doing this, the main one being you will get a CD that has the right drivers for the hardware.
