Good day all!

I am currently working on my pc and having a bit of trouble. My scans are now coming up clean (AVG, SuperSpy), but I still do not have access to my task manager. The PC had a number of malware items. including 180search assist and others.

----------------------EDIT----------------------------------

I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and smitRem and have regained control of my task manager.

Panda's Acvitvescan Still comes up with 5 things it cannot fix, the log will be at the end of my post. I am resubmitting my Hijack logs as well.

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben and welcome to GTG.

Please print the below instructions or copy them to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the order mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. Close the Registry Editor now. Go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the following into Notepad:

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{5FA6752A-C4A0-4222-88C2-928AE5AB4966}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{4E1075F4-EEC4-4a86-ADD7-CD5F52858C31}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{965A592F-8EFA-4250-8630-7960230792F1}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{5dafd089-24b1-4c5e-bd42-8ca72550717b}]

Save the file as "delete.reg". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Close Notepad. Double click on the delete.reg file and choose Yes to merge/add it to the registry. You may delete the file afterwards.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\wmsdkns.exe,

Locate the following Files/Folders and delete them if they exist (if no location given, just do a search for them):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wmsdkns.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\clbdll.dll

Restart and run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

Go to http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix and follow the instructions on how to install the Recovery Console and run ComboFix. Go through all the steps until posting the log part. Post the combofix log here.

How is it running so far?

Hi Ben, you should have ComboFix.exe on your desktop now. Please double click on it to run the tool and follow the instructions. Try not to use the computer at all while it's doing the scan/cleanup process (let it run all the way through). On a normal run, it can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes or more.
