I am hoping you can help me, this is my first visit to Geeks To Go. I have found many posts with problems similar to mine and I have followed all the advice. However, I still seems to have a problem on my system.
(System is XP running SP2)
In summary what happened is I got the WP and Popupper executables installed on my shared PC. I seem to have removed these as per the various instructions.
What I am still left with is the YELLOW TRIANGLE ICON that appears in the tray saying there are 4 active exploits on my machine and I am affected by Spyware ....
I have run (with the latest dat files) Ad-AWARE, SpyBot S&D 1.3, Spydoctor, and SpySubtract (inc CWShredder) and nothing seems to highlight a problem. I have also run Norton and Mcaffe virus checkers and they seem to show all is well.
I have collected a log file from Hijackthis and have included it here. Perhaps someone with more knowledge on these subjects can identify for me what items I need to address.
I believe the QFIND statements are possible removal items and the lines with square boxes look suspect to me also. But I am no expert and would rather ask for help than take a chance and ruin the system installed.
