i read an earlier discussion regarding this matter below but i dont understand how to follow the instructions properly i have placed the instructions below given to the other member who said it worked ok can you tell me how to solve this issue please in more simple terms

thanks in advance

Fix these with HiJackThis – mark them, close IE, click fix checked

F3 - REG:win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\system32\softreg\svchost.exe

START – RUN – type in %temp% - OK - Edit – Select all – File – Delete

Delete everything in the C:\Windows\Temp folder or C:\WINNT\temp

Not all temp files will delete and that is normal
Empty the recycle bin
Boot and post a new log from normal NOT safe mode

Everytime I start my computer it displays a message saying that it can't find C:\WINDOWS\system32\softreg/svchost.exe... I give him okay and the window go away and the comp keeps working as usual, I am no expert or even well known when it comes to computers but I'm pretty sure that thing isn't supposed to happen... ever... what is that and how I can fix it ??

This happened after I installed WinZip which then installed mIRC. I have already uninnstaled both of them but the annoying message keeps popping up.

Any help will be greatly apreciated ...

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
