Windows 2000 prof service Pack 4 running on Compaq Evo N410c

Hi

I've been following the instructions form bananafanafo to get my box working again. My desktop background is working again - thanks for the great advice ;)

However, I still have 3 problems with windows:

- I still get a dial up connection window each time windows starts or when I start IE. The only way to get it to stop is to ping an ip address and then this seems to kickstart my nic.

- All my installed printers are gone and I can not add a printer via the control panel add printer tool

- I still get pop ups - some advertising that my box is infected with spyware.

Been trying for 2 days to get my laptop working normally again and really dunno what to do next. :tazz:

Many Thanks.
