So far so good. My computer is working much better now, as opposed to a week or so ago when I thought it was all but dead. Your help on this forum is much appreciated. I've already mentioned it to many other people and I'll continue to do so. Thanks so much for the time spent helping me take care of this awful problem.

I'm going to assume Webroot's Spysweeper is a worthy program....yes? I'm paying for it, but I'm not so sure it does a whole lot. Perhaps I should nix it.

I will certainly post again if I have any more complications. Thanks again!
