Word Error

I just realized to day that when i click control in word, these brackets go across the word document with a gray background. If I let go of the control button it says, Fields Are Nested Too Deeply.

what version of office?

what are you trying to copy and past? From a web page or from another word document? Do you have all the office updates installed?

Well awkwardly enough, for some reason all of my programs stopped malfunctioning. Im wondering what caused it but w/e. Thanks for trying.
