When I pull up new windows the debugger often comes on. It will not respond to any commands and I often cannot fill out forms. It's driving me crazy .

This happened after I had my hard disc reformatted by a geek company after a Window crash. They did a good job otherwise except for one more nuisance glitch. When I sign on Windows the MS fold opens and the Migwiz folder appears which I have to delete before I can get into any programs.
I am a 79 year old lady who is self taught on the computer. I can get around the internet fairly well and understand most of the things I need to do. I have a science background but can't write code so --I can install my peripheral devices and monitor, but that's about it. I would appreciate
some help. thank you.

To disable the debugger follow the instructions here:

For the folder appearing at logon try this:

Click 'Start', select 'Run'

In 'Run' type "regedit" without the quotes and click OK.

In regedit (registry editor) navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

In the Run key look in the right pane and see if there is any listing for the MS/Migwiz folder. If you find such an entry double click on it to edit the string. Place double quotes around the value then click OK.

This is just an example:

C:\Windows\SMINST\RecGuard.exe

Would become:

"C:\Windows\SMINST\RecGuard.exe"
