Hi there,
So my computer is getting older and slower as the days go by but over the years I have had no serious problems. However recently I attempted to upload some photos from a USB drive and got a "DrWatson Postmortem Debugger" error along with a frozen computer.
I'm not panicking but after doing some research, it seems this could either be a minor problem or a trojan of some kind. All my C: files are backed up just in case.
I ran a Norton AntiVirus full system scan which turned up nothing. Here is my log file from the HijackThis program.
I am not very computer literate but have tried my best. Upon copying my logfile to HijackThis.de, some of my things came up as potentially unsafe.
Can you please advise?

See if this helps out with the error:
Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Option->View and check 'Show hidden files and folders' and uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files'. Go to your c: drive. Right click on the boot.ini file and go to Properties. Uncheck the box that says Read-only and click OK. Then double click on the boot.ini file to open it. Change the line that says /NoExecute=OptIn and change it to /NoExecute=AlwaysOff. Now save the file and close it.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)

Go to http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix and follow the instructions on how to install the Recovery Console and run ComboFix. Go through all the steps until posting the log part. Post the combofix log here.

Hi greyknight17,
Thanks for your reply. I began making the changes however I have no "boot.ini" file in my C: drive. Does that make sense? I did a search and it came up with something in the Windows folder of the C: drive but it's not the same thing.
I did make the hidden files and folders viewable.
