I curently have a 17" Flatscreen. I'm going to be getting a 19" widescreen LCD monitor with a new desktop... I will be gaming sim sity, zoo typhoon, halo, will watch tv from it, and probably more things..


Which mobo would u get them. PCI or ASUS?

With usages you listed you could actually cut your costs down a bit if you wanted to. You will need a T.V. tuner card to watch cable t.v. from it.

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L seems to be THE mobo of choice on this site.
99% chance I'll be buying this one soon. Is the Q6600 a good choice for this board, or do I need a CPU with a faster FSB, such as the Q9300?

Yes, in your case the Gigabyte P35-GA-DS3L is a better choice.
