When trying to open Windows Movie Maker I get the message window that it ran into an error. Presented is a window to either "Debug" or "Close". No matter which I click on the program closes. Any suggestions?

Hi Hucksdad, and welcome to Geeks to Go!

It sounds like your system files might be in a bad state. With your operating system DVD in the drive, open the command prompt (by going to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. If you're running Vista, you'll have to right click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator.") and type in sfc /scannow. This will scan your system files for any missing or corrupt files and replace them from the DVD as necessary. Please post back here with your results.
