Start -> Control Panel -> Switch to Classic view in left pane -> User Accounts -> Turn user account control on or off

*Note that it does serve a purpose of warning you when programs are trying to access something that requires administrative rights, unfortunately it can be annoying and warns you when you want to do something as well

Please don't turn off the User Account Control just yet.

Which version of Vista do you have installed? It will make a difference in the instructions we give to elevate the administrative privileges to allow the application to run without prompting.
