i'm running Vista of the main computer and XP on the laptop.
my laptop can no longer find my main (the big desktop model) computer files (the one that was cleaned of all the junk stuff) that are set up for sharing. :-(
For example if I open Excel (or Word or whatever) on my laptop and click open, then network places, and then entire network the only networks it shows are Microsoft Terminal Services, Microsoft Windows Network, and Web Client Network. There is no thehalenetwork (the name of our home network system). If I try to open a file from a recently used file list it says it cannot be found
I can still access the internet from my laptop with no problem but cannot print from the laptop or work on the files from the main computer which I could do before. Remote access is enabled on the main computer and all files are still labeled for sharing.
How can I get my laptop back on so I can work from it and print from it etc?
