Trash_man,

A Google search could find this information pretty easily. This link will give you background on Mozilla, which is behind Firefox, Thunderbird, and other open source products.

It's an open-source project - that means multiple people have worked on its development. It's not "owned" by anyone, and I'm not real sure why this is such a big deal. However, if you're in a bad mood, that's your issue - I'm not going to do your research for you just because you don't feel like it.

i didn't mean u should do my research for me i just said it would be nice to know because i couldn't find anything.

i didn't mean to attack you i don't want this to get ugly.

back to the point as u say it was an open source project then but now has anyone bought it from them like Microsofts bid for yahoo............

Open source projects can't get bought out. I think these wikipedia articles will help you understand about open source (as well as chapter 1 in every beginners Linux books):

Open Source

GNU General Public License
