Windows XP Add/Remove programs

Running Windows XP SP2 all updated. Having a problem with the Add/Remove programs. When I click on it not all the programs installed are listed including the Windows updates. I just noted this tonight, I am not having any problems just not all the programs listed. I am thinking the has something to do with the registry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
