Add a font on Microsoft Word 2007

you install a font into Windows, not into Office or Office applications.
navigate to this folder and open it: C:\Windows\Fonts
now click on 'File-->Install New Font'

Ok i found all that but i cant locate the font file. i have it in a zip file on the desktop. Where should i put it and what parts of the files contents should i put in there

You cannot install them while they are 'zipped up'
You first have to "extract" the contents of the zip file: Right-click-->extract all.
You should now have one or more 'TTF' files (files with names ending in .ttf)
These are Truetype fonts for Windows and it's these you install into the fonts folder.
When you've installed them you can safely move or delete the one's on your desktop without "breaking" those
in the fonts folder because when you install a font file it is automatically copied to the fonts folder.
