I recently was infected with a trojan of sorts. i was able to remove the majority of the symptom causers by running various virus scans in safe mode, but two problems remain. One problem is, when running internet explorer, a popup, similar to the one you might incounter when you need an activx installed, comes up and tells me that my computer may be infected with malware and if i hold my curser over the link and look in the service bar, it is a link for a phony anti virus program. My other problem is that when my infection was at it's peak, my allowance to task manager had been changed. I used the task manager the day before i was infected with no problems and no one had gone on between the time I used the task manager and the time of the infection. But, if I hit ctrl+alt+del, a alert pops up and says that my administrater has blocked acess to the task manager. My account is a admin acount.
