Let's try this as well just to be sure on the drivers.

Let's look at the device manager it will tell us what is missing hopefully.

To access device manager go here:

Start -> right click on My Computer --> click on Properties --->Click on the Hardware tab ----> click Device Manager Now please take a screenshot and post here.

Note, I did find Intel Drivers for wireless for your computer we can try.

Haha okay,

And I will be constantly responding fast because this is my priority (family needs it for work stuff, so I'm pressured :))

There is a red "X" on the Intel 2200BG driver because if I enable that, the wireless goes on (if my Ethernet wire is connected to router/modem).

Here's your Chipset Driver:

Intel® 915GM Chipset Driver - Installs the originally shipped version of the Intel 915GM Chipset Driver.
http://esupport.sony...l...996&os_id=7

I'm 99.9% sure that the Intel the right driver for your system considering it's the only Wireless Driver listed in the list on sony's site of drivers for your computer.Besides the utilities like this:
http://esupport.sony...l...013&os_id=7

I have 2 things I'd like you to check:

1.Right click on the Intel Wireless Driver in the Device Manager and see if you can Enable it.
2.Go into your Network Connections and right click on your Wireless and click View Available Wireless Networks and are you able to produce of list of networks that you can connect on?

Also take a screenshot of the rest of the Device Manager please.. in the picture it cuts off the buttom half of the missing drivers.

I'm going to edit this post once I follow your directions.

EDIT:
1. I just installed my chipset driver, okay.

2.Go into your Network Connections and right click on your Wireless and click View Available Wireless Networks and are you able to produce of list of networks that you can connect on?

Task 1: Complete
Task2 : I did that and I can see the list of networks I can connect on (there are a bunch, but I see Linksys, which is my main one. Now I need to plug back the USB in to get INternet back agian...

Are there any other drivers I MUST install? The ones I downloaded are: Sound and the Chipset and Wireless.

Great we are ALMOST there! I can feel it! :)

Do not restart yet do the below first.

Alright let's Enable your wireless.

Right click on Wireless>Click Enable.

Once you do that I have a question, on the newly installed is the Ethernet link I gave you in a recent post?

And last in this post please post a new screenshot showing your Device Manager. In the last image of it it had a scroll where it wouldn't show the last part of drivers at the bottom. Can you take a screenshot with it showing me the full window of the device manager?

I did as you asked, by plugging the ethernet cord in the router and the other end on the modem. Got my wireless signal, but Internet pages still do not load. I don't get what you mean by "on the newly installed is the Ethernet link I gave you in a recent post?

if you mean the Yukon thingy, I do have it, but according to this screenshot..

Do you have IRC, MSN, or AIM by any chance? This may be more convenient.

What I meant was in the screenshot here:
http://img385.images...wirelessxn2.png

On the "Just installed this" was that the Ethernet Controller driver that I posted the link to in post # 20.

But I just checked the name and oviously it was the one you installed.

On the AIM/MSN I do have both But I would prefer we stay on the forums to finish the troubleshooting. But if you ever have a simple problem or question feel free to shoot me up an IM my messenger names are in my profile.

Can you post a Screenshot of your Device Manager? Being sure it shows the whole window?

All we have left to do is:

1.Setup your network for wireless, and connect to it from your laptop.
2.Install other drivers you need (mouse,sound,video,etc...)

Could you please post a image of your device manager, being sure it shows the whole window allowing me to see everything you need installed.

Thanks,
Cam
