Error Cannot verify connection to EA.com

I have downloaded EA land but when i try to open it i get cannot verifiy connection to EA.com but i am connected to the internet via Highspeed my operating system is xp home edition my system memory 480.5 intel pentium 4 cpu 1.60ghz directx 9.0c display device is SiS 650_651_M650_M652_740 not sure what else you need i am new to this. Again any help would be greatly appreciated

are you running any 3rd party firewalls or virus scaneers?
