Hello, Ive received the dreaded "Dr. Watsons Post Mortem Debugger has encountered a problem" error which freezes the computer. I have read the thread: http://www.geekstogo...ger-t39306.html which gives a solution. However, I am unable to find any of the items it says to delete. Here is what Hijack this found on my computer....

Is that what I was supposed to show you? Please help. Im about ready to throw this computer out the window and get an Apple. :)

Hello, and welcome to geektoso! I'm Ryan, and I'll be helping you clean your computer.

I didn't see anything suspicious in the HiJack This log, but let's run another scan adn see if that detects anything.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.

Thanks, I did as you described...it took 3 hours plus, so I was unable to post last night. As I relaunched today I could find nothing to "check" and delete as described, and here is the log file.

While it used to be caused my malware, it rarely is anymore. I'd post about this in the Windows forum, and let them now you've been cleared by malware.

Well, I could probably make another thread on this one, but Ill throw it here. I could repost if thats what you would like me to do.

On Saturday, our monitor started displaying really poorly. The whites (and everything) had a blueish tint and the picture quality was terrible. Double images, or just plain fuzzy. Truly hurt my eyes after only 5 or 6 minutes. I tried the control panel> display> properties, etc, but nothing seemed to work. I unplugged the monitor cable, restarted, etc. etc. etc. Nothing seemed to work. However, when I pressed the menu buttons directly on the monitor, I noticed that the menu was beautiful. All the whites were great, etc. Therefore, it must have been the computer sending the signal. Long story short...I just left it alone and about 5 hours later it "fixed" itself. Things working great again, but can you think of anything else I could check if it happens again?

Check to make sure that the cable is securely plugged in.

Other than that I'm not sure, but some of the hardware people should be able to help more.
