First I would like to say that the only way I was able to post was through Safe Mode with Networking. My browsers, both Firefox and IE (I never use IE otherwise), were not able to get past google in a normal boot setting if you could believe it.

My girl has had this dell M1530 for less then a week now, and last night I decided to spend some times making it more secure.I downloaded drivers from dells site, downloaded adblock for FF, avast, comodo installed it all, seemed just fine. In the morning we wake up and watch a movie on it, no problems at all. Then some errors popped up and we surmised it was an infection, even though we had no clue on why. I uninstalled comodo, (dont know why), and checked avast and apparently it found something but didn't react -_-... when running a manual scan it found it in no time, and asked me what to do so I put it in a chest. It kept on finding it after and asked that I do a boot time scan to which I agreed. The scan ran into some infected files first and I chose to delete (if it worked at all anyway). Then it found the virus I posted, and I typed it into my blackberry and found this site thumbup2.gif. After I "deleted" the file, I had to manually restart the PC to which vista said it recommended that I launch a startup repair which I did. I chose to do it without a system restore, because I wasn't sure if there was one available to begin with. After that windows started up and would have errors and explorer would not respond and close repeatedly. then the browsers crapped out on me. Wish I knew what the heck it came from. So what should I do first guys? I have another PC on hand if it helps to know. Thanks in advance. Heres a HiJack This Log, in Safe Mode with Networking

Hello again Crisp712

For each of the programs that I request you download, I'd like you to download them from your clean computer. Then transfer the entire program on to a portable storage device such as a USB and head over to your infected computer. Transfer the program there and run it in normal mode. Save the logs and then post them here.

Please read my entire post before commencing, and please follow my instructions in the order that they are given :) If you don't understand something, don't be afraid to ask!

1. Fix HiJackThis Entries
------------------------------------------------

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O2 - BHO: {27eac46a-b24c-73ab-22f4-b675d4251440} - {0441524d-576b-4f22-ba37-c42ba64cae72} - C:\Windows\system32\vgkdnvau.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {AC5647D9-A342-4381-82E7-2ACB856B9BCD} - C:\Windows\system32\pmnLCUoP.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [a68a2382] rundll32.exe "C:\Windows\system32\jvqqsmqv.dll",b
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BMa5b9101e] Rundll32.exe "C:\Windows\system32\ndjonpps.dll",s

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis.

2. File Deletion with OTMoveIt2
------------------------------------------------

Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    C:\Windows\system32\vgkdnvau.dll
    C:\Windows\system32\pmnLCUoP.dll
    C:\Windows\system32\jvqqsmqv.dll
    C:\Windows\system32\ndjonpps.dll
  • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be Moved" window (under the light blue bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • A log of files and folders moved will be created in the c:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder in the form of Date and Time (mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log). Please open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

3. Deckard's System Scanner
------------------------------------------------

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
