Go to open my comp this morning at work and my outlook inbox is filled with 1000 + undelivered or returned e-mails. Everyone was something i didn't recognize or had no clue about. Is someone using my comp to send out spam?..can i stop this or get an idea if it will happen again?. Comp is running very slowly today also.
Thank you for the time.
Turbothree0

Let's see if there's something hiding in there...

Download ATF Cleaner at http://www.atribune..../click.php?id=1
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program. Under Main choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use the Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use the Opera browser click 'Opera' at the top and choose 'Select All'
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

1. Download combofix at http://www.techsuppo...Bs/ComboFix.exe or http://download.blee...Bs/ComboFix.exe
2. Double-click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.

Note:
Do not click on combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Download HijackThis at http://www.greyknigh.../HijackThis.exe Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double-click on the program to run it.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose Do a system scan and save a logfile.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Post the hijackthis.log file here. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.

It looks good now. Go to Start->Run and copy/paste in combofix /u to remove it.

Do you still have any problems now?

Well I have already got aprox 10 bounced back e-mails this am but that was before i ran the logs..So nothing yet besides the Canadian pharmacy, Fake watches and regular "enlargement" crap daily...
Any suggested course of action as of now?.
Again thank you for the effort..

If it's the usual spam, there's nothing much else to do. As long as it's not making your computer act like a "zombie" and start sending out random emails, you should be clear to go :)

Is it bounced back emails? Do you have a email kept in the sentbox every time a email is sent out? If so, can you confirm that it was indeed sent from this email client? Try using another email account and see if the same problem occurs.

Are any of the information (IP or email) correct there (matches your account)?

Do you save a message in the sentbox every time a email is sent out? If so, is this specific email you just posted in that sentbox?

Check Outlook Express and make sure that there are no pending emails that are ready to be sent.

well as far as the E-mails go. Mine is [email protected].. But i saw this guy :"corrie waleed" <[email protected]> and have no clue as to who this is?..Definatly not any of my guys..

No pending e-mails to be sent...nothing held in my outbox..
And negative on the pending e-mails..
Pretty strange?..
How do i found out who the [bleep] Corrie Waleed is?...
Thank you

Most likely spoofed/faked. I don't know of any way to stop this besides filtering it out. They can always change that name also and still make it seem like it's coming from [email protected].

This doesn't seem to be you sending the emails at all....meaning, not from this computer or even the email account. You might want to try posting in the Browser and email board instead to see if anyone there has any better way of handling these spoofed emails.
