I downloaded Limewire and the first time i used it to download something it froze my computer. Then after I rebooted, Limewire kept trying to start but couldn't. I kept getting Limewire error messages. So I uninstalled Limewire, however it keeps trying to load even though I uninstalled it. In my system tray there are a bunch of arrows, and I cannot get any of the icons in my system tray to work. I think I downloaded a virus or worm through limewire. I have McAfee antivirus on my computer but when i run it it finds nothing wrong. Can someone tell me how to make limewire stop trying to load? And also is there something I can run on my computer that will tell me if I have a virus or worm and remove it? I am not an advanced computer user. Please help.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
