Word 2007 has a series of customized footer styles, or templates, or whatever their term is, that appear in a drop down box when you click on the footer icon in the ribbon. Is there a way to add a customer style of your own to that list?

Ok when you choose insert footer choose blank.
Set up your footer the way you want it.
Then use ctrl + A to choose everything you inserted in the footer (or use your mouse to highlight everything)
then click back on footer in the ribbon and choose save to footer gallery
Cheers
