Safe GPU temp?

while i play cod4 my GPU temps get up to 74 c is this a safe temp or is it to high?

I have been reading around and everyone has a diff answer.

May I know what vga card do you use.. If you are using hi-end vga card, the temperature might reach 90C at full load..

74C is normal for your card at full load (during heavy gaming).. not at idle though...

Considering that your card is factory overclocked and assuming that your card uses standard cooling, then yes, its normal.. :)

ya its standard cooling. and it runs at 51c idle.

thats running vista
it was at about 40c with xp
