HI
can anyone help me with my problem, I have used a wireless connection on my sons pc but it has proved to be unrealiable.
I did have an ASUS wireless lan connection, but I need to change it to an ethernet connection, However after connecting the ethernet cable to my sons pc (via a net gear router) I can not get an internet connection. I have removed the lan card and deleted the software ( it will not let me uninstal the lan card software) however I can not establish an interet connection

Hope someone can help?

Regards

Alan

Try using Windows Installer Cleanup utility
you can download it from here

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

that should remove the program/software

next do the following

go to run and type this in

devmgmt.msc

START/RUN/ devmgmt.msc / click ok

click on the + and right click on the driver....
choose update the driver

if no updates are available choose uninstall
restart your computer...hardware wizard will find drivers
reinstall them for you.......see if that helps
drivers can be located like this

you may have to reboot the router at the same time

remove all cables
unplug its power source
wait few minutes reconnect and see if you get a connection

or try hooking up with out the router
for myself i just do a hardwire from my modem to ethernet
Good Luck
