Please download DAFT and save it to your desktop:
  • Double-click the daft.exe icon.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • Select everything it is displaying there
  • Click the Fix button.
  • Then rescan with DAFT again - it should say now that "All associations are OK"
  • Close DAFT if you receive that message. This means that it is fixed now.

Okay, I saved Daft.exe to the desktop. When I ran the program however, no files or associations appeared in the box. I clicked on the "Scan" button anyway, and a little box popped up saying "All associations okay!" I've gone thru all of these steps and my computer is running fine most of the time, but I still have these two strange files that appear in my "Programs" list: Online Security Guide and Security Troubleshooting. How do I get rid of these files, and do they contain the virus???

Okay, I deleted the files, then emptied the Recycle Bin. Do I still need to delete all the other files you had me download? And do I still need to conduct a System Restore?

I've deleted all programs and emptied Recycle Bi, then created a System Restore point. But I have no virus protection now. What is the best "Free" virus protection available for Vista?
