Okay so...Title says it all,

Ive gotten the 0x024 BSOD, ve found out that you can diagnose this BSOD if you boot the windows cd
& run Repair>Recovery Console>chkdsk /f.

But problem is The repair doesnt run off of my windows cd disk...
It just says something like... "Examining 381427 MB disk 0 bus 0 atapi..."
I never even gotten to the command prompt to type in "chkdsk /f"

Any suggestions?
I really need help on this.

Try this fix.
You will need a working computer that can make or burn a cd.

It was stupid of me not remembering to back up my datas...

If you can back up your data,
do it for sure.

Then instead of a recovery console you have the option for a fresh install.

But you will loose any added programs and modifications.

Try the recover console and see if that gets you back all your programs and settings and things are working correctly.

It's a good possibility that your data is still there.
Especially if it was in 'My Documents"

Okay so...If I use the recovery console, I WONT lose any datas on my Computer, right? *E.G Music,images,downloaded files/programs.*

But the recovery console on the windows cd doesnt work for some reason, is it because it says Service pack 1?
Cuz I downloaded Service pack 2 from microsoft website...

Hi InfantryMen...

Just to see if the version difference is causing problems with Recovery Console running properly, download RC.iso and burn it to a cd as an ISO image. You may need a burning tool like ISO Recorder to do this (adds "Copy Image to CD" to the right click menu)...be sure to get the version for the operating system you'll be creating the disk on.

Try booting with this disk and see if you are able to successfully use Recovery Console.

Infantry, have you done what that link I posted said to do and not backed up your data.

If so, take all your cd disks out of the cd drive and restart your computer.
Let me know what shows up please.
