I'm having some anoying problems with my computer... Over all, it's worknig very good, but every now and then, it freezes and I can't do anything about it. Mouse not responding, can't bring up the Task Manager and so on... If I have any music on (from games or Winamp or whatever), it continues to play. Any idea what could cause this problem?

Whats the full specfication of the computer?

When this problem of occurs are you running a lot of programs or one that is processor intensive?

Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160 1800 Mhz
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
2 GB of RAM (1028*2) DDR2
Running on Windows XP Pro SP2

Anything else I have forgotten?

It does appear not to be realted to CPU usage... Sometimes it freezes when I'm running Opera, MSN Messenger, EVE-Online and other bunch of stuff, but sometimes I'm just running Opera or a Notepad document.

My first guess would be a video problem. Try installing a different version driver for your GeForce 8600 GT, either newer or older, see if that makes a difference.
